This Chardonnay, from a large vineyard on the eastern side of the appellation, is the best in recent years. It's dry and crisply acidic, with crisp, tight flavors of pineapples, oranges, green apples and honeyed sandalwood. The winemaker, however, makes a mistake and overdelivers, resulting in a wine that's dry and, yes, tart and acidic. Drink now–2012.
