This Petite Sirah has its problems, in the form of overripeness. It's also very high in alcohol, which is a good thing, as it gives the wine a hard mouthfeel. Tastes like blackberry jam, sweetly raisin and black pepper, and the finish is dry, too. Good enough, but not particularly varietal, while costing more and getting better every year.
