This is the winery's first Chardonnay, and their first bottling since 2007, and it's a great success. The '07 is a fine, complex wine, but the oak sticks out. The ripe tropical fruit, toffee and vanilla flavors are typical of Napa's Chardonnay style, and the wine is dry, but you have to give it credit for its complexity. Really a great wine, but one that's not particularly New World or New World-like.
